In 2016, I experienced my first volunteer trip …Just because of an idea and an impulse, he set foot on this vast land of Mongolia. To serve as an international volunteer who had not experienced it as a student.Some people say: ⌈Why do so many countries choose Outer Mongolia? ⌋I said: ⌈Because I have been in a busy city for a long time, I want to take a good look at and kiss nature, and experience the best gifts and simple life from nature. One idea is the country of nature- Mongolia . ⌋
Before leaving, my parents were very opposed and worried. A girl goes to a country that no one knows, does not understand the language, and is unfamiliar. At the beginning, I used my super optimism to explain the purpose and idea of my trip, but it happened that the body had an unprecedented condition three days before departure, and my parents strongly suggested canceling this trip!In the past, my parents and parents were very relieved and supportive when they traveled abroad, but this time my father rebounded extremely. Several times I was shaken and timid, and I was afraid that it was a mistake to go to Outer Mongolia. Does God want to remind me? So there are so many things blocking me before departure?Looking at the immigration gate of the airport, I posted a text on Facebook, which was full of fear and anxiety; wondering if I really should not go … The sound of my heartbeat is particularly clear in this atmosphere.But it was really lucky that in the middle of this time, I received some encouragement from friends on the other side of the earth and seniors who have been to Outer Mongolia before. I have a very heavy sentence in mind:
“If you think you won’t regret it, then don’t go!”
This reminds me of the opportunity of an international volunteer who went to Uganda for two weeks when studying in the UK. At that time, a friend said that there was a war-torn country and it was extremely dangerous. Never go!This sentence made me retreat completely; now I think about it three years later, I regret it the most; thinking that it is actually safer to go with the school’s volunteer group than it is to come? The school will not risk taking its students to the battlefield where it is so risky to sleep with a gun!⌈I’m going! I want to see it with my own eyes, and set foot on this journey with my feet. I don’t want to give myself a regretful slap anymore! ⌋
This conviction made me once again take the courage to go to a country that is unfamiliar and original to me.
In this more than one month, I really feel the shock of freedom! No regrets.PS: Intimate suggestion, be sure to communicate with your family’s purpose and organizational background before departure, don’t worry your family! Don’t cut it first like me.
Volunteer camp started
Received a call from the volunteer leader at the hotel, about the designated place, ready to go to the camp!
Meet a super cute Hong Kong girl- Dodo in the car ! Cheerful he opened the clip between us. Chatting together, sharing the reasons for coming here and what kind of partners we are looking forward to waiting! From the city to the countryside, the driver drove from the asphalt road to the turf along the way. It was too powerful to know everything from north to south without navigation!
After arriving at the destination, it is a very clean place, that is the piece! Our camp is a small paradise in the prairie!
My little leader is a small Mongolian man – Chinbaa ! As soon as I entered the door, I warmly introduced us to our sleeping cabin, as well as a Japanese-Korean mixed aunt! I was a little sad at first. I thought I could meet a large circle of international friends. Why are there so few people in this batch of echelons? Later, our Chinbaa told us that a group of friends from the Hong Kong school would come to the camp to help later! I am happy to hear this news! Bunny likes to meet new friends the most!
Camp work fun
The theme of the volunteer camp we participated in was eco-farming. At that time, the arrival time was only about 1 pm. Chinbaa said that it ca n’t do anything in this place where birds do n’t lay eggs ~ Although we are farming teams, we can also help build toilets together! I thought it was too cool to build a toilet wall in my own life. I immediately agreed to join the battle. (Huh?At the beginning, I helped move the bricks and threw them to the Mongolian brother, and then made cement; then I worked with the Mongolian brother to build a brick wall!
Under the sun, I can’t stand it! However, a lot of Mongolian young people came to help (the cute children who came to the summer camp during the summer vacation). The children who grew up with nature are not easy. Although each one is thin, but their strength is much greater than mine! Seeing that this old man can’t move, he is still very enthusiastic to help! ! The whole heart is warm!
When I got to the back, I just sat on a brick and twitched my muscles to the extreme. It looks easy, but it ’s not easy at all. The bricks need to be aligned, too big to be cut off, and the bricks dropped by the children should be flashed. I will work with everyone to complete the toilet wall all afternoon. Interesting!
Immediately into the theme the next day, my farmer journey. Hey!I’m a city kid, I haven’t done farming work, and I felt a sense of excitement when I first felt the hoe!
Under the blazing sun, the blue sky and white clouds, accompanied by gloves, holding a hoe, holding a small seed in his hand, sowed hope for this earth. Only through personal experience knows that the hard work of farmers without the help of machines! It takes a lot of effort to take care of the water and shovel the soil every day! So good children do n’t waste food, eat up everything, do n’t waste it!
Take a break, drink water, and look at this endless grassland, so beautiful. From time to time, you will see Niu’er and Yang’er looking at you and saying to you, “Hey! Hello!”
Quietly enjoy the conversation with nature and you. I ca n’t believe I ’m on the territory of Mongolia! !
Work from 9 to 12 in the morning every day, and then from 2 to 6 in the afternoon, sometimes you can come back to rest early when the work is done early!PS: Work hard, don’t force yourself to be injured!
Food and clothing in the camp
In the battalion is to pay attention to division of labor and cooperation, take turns cooking, work in turns. The time for everyone to eat together is the time for everyone to communicate with each other. Talk about yourself and meet others.Regarding the meals in the camp, there is a certain distance between the camp and the city. It takes about 4 or 5 days to go to the city to purchase. It is our task to make good food under limited food, and it is our responsibility to feed our partners!Fortunately, our teammate, a Japanese single cook- sho — Sho ! The cooked dishes are very tasty, delicious and fast and professional! After finishing the Mongolian battalion, she will continue to volunteer in all corners of Europe!She said: “He will spend the rest of his life to help and create happiness for these children who need help!”Sho is a cool big sister and a super handsome solo man! Of course, our international TEAM cooking is very good and delicious. It is also an honor for our partners to dedicate it to us for the first time!
The water here comes from the “ice water” on the mountain, which is extremely extreme. In addition, the bath is also fighting ice water! See clearly "" Bing Bing Bing Bing Bing Bing Bing Bing Shui "" is not so simple as cold water! ! ! ! ! !Thank you for the unforgettable super biting experience of the ice river! I really think that the cold water in the city is nothing! Every day I screamed and bathed and bounced. After a few days, I was smart enough to boil hot water to mix and wash. Of course, the washing part also depends on your dear hands to rub hard …As for the toilet! It is about 400 meters from the chalet. Outdoors, take a bucket to flush over there! In the middle of the night, please bring a flashlight or you will fall down and eat shit!
People I met here
The way for Mongolians to play here is to rock and breathe with nature! Very lucky to meet this group of pure and lovely Mongolian partners who came to this summer camp!
There is no TV here, after they finish working, they will kill the sheep and burn wood to cook and eat! Even chopsticks are made by hand! After eating, take care of yourself and so on … very clever and sensible!
You will be warmly invited to share their finished products together! Although the language is extremely poor, their enthusiasm is enough to make you feel their enthusiasm deeply. The taste is great not to lose to Mongolian chefs outside!
After work at night, a group of people will play sports together, whether it is basketball volleyball and dancing, everything is super powerful! All of them are athletes!
So every child here has muscles and even almost everyone has six muscles. It ’s really fun for everyone to play together, and I will format my camera randomly! So dangerous I stopped immediately! Scared me that all my hair fell off!One day, all the young people in Outer Mongolia have been calling Rabbit outside my cabin! Rabbit! Rabbit! Partners studying together
Meet a dozen or so cute friends from the powerful volunteer group of Hong Kong University of Education! All the elites selected by the campus come to serve Mongolia! Hong Kong friends are very, very enthusiastic and kind to the extreme. Although we live in different cabins, we all talk to each other and splash each other to know each other.
Help each other, exchange food, tired of each other shouting to cheer, pour water, talk about Hong Kong, talk about Taiwan, talk about every bit here!
Although I am no longer a student, I feel that my youth is back with my friends!Laugh together, go crazy together, entertain together, and attack opponents together!
Learning Mongolian, the pronunciation is really difficult, and a bunch of sounds that are very similar to Korean, now degenerate to only say “Hello, thank you, bye, I love you”.
Tell me about the leader of Chinbaa! I love bullying me! At 25 years old, he was a super-monsterous Mongolian. Hahaha! Every day, I would pick me up and whip it up and down 360 degrees, otherwise it would scare me behind my back and laugh at how I am so idiot, and then compare my middle finger.
Although he is very idiot and humorous, but his background is not simple. He graduated with a double master degree in computer engineering and psychology. Is it a genius?Ask him why he came here? He said that although the salary here is not high, it is “interest”! He will come to the work camp to help every summer vacation seven years ago, and officially joined this volunteer family two years ago! At other times, he will do the work of an engineer. He knows a lot of languages and has no special studies. He knows many partners from different countries!He said, ” I really like everyone I meet here, every corner I touch, and cherish what I have now. Everyone works hard and works together and is happy. Time after working
The two weeks in the camp are not working every day! One day Chinbaa said to take everyone to see the river? ! Everyone will take a tour of the river together. I’m curious that there will be rivers near this large grass field. A group of people took this small journey together. They thought it was just nearby, who knew that it took an hour and a half to walk around.There are a lot of grass on the way, but in fact there is turf under the river, and there are some animal dung embellishment. Everyone is afraid of getting their shoes wet, they collect stool, and after a period of evasion, they finally arrived at the so-called small river!
Our team leader said he wanted to play the cross-river game, and his mind shattered himself. Just now, those who insisted on not dirtying the whole was a waste of energy (wry smile)
Then the passionate Hong Kong partners jumped over one by one, even me. Was touted by dear sportsman WingWing, although he was a rabbit, he still fell a dog to eat shit. When sports cells are used, they hate less, and in the end everyone is still dirty and returned to the camp! The waywardness of not stepping on the water and stool has been left behind, let it go Let it go go!
I was tired when I came back, but I was happy that my body was full of the smell and commemoration of nature. Haha! It turned out that a little bit of perseverance was put down and I got more and better experience
Campfire party
I think it ’s amazing that the Mongols ’campfires are too high, right? ! We danced around the super-high fire and were almost hit by the thrill. The Mongols say that this is the way to excite themselves. Mile! Sure enough, they are the grassland people with their own interests, but we must pay attention to safety.
Everyone held hands in a lively song, celebrating everyone’s fate and each other’s everlasting friendship.
The starry sky that night looked particularly beautiful and glittering in everyone’s laughter.
The last day of the camp
Hong Kong partners have cooked a lot of Hong Kong-style food. It’s delicious, and I’m very rich. Looking at the contributions made by the partners who came here bit by bit, from scratch, everyone’s sweat and efforts to embrace this land, it is worth it! This earth and people made me love to blow up!
There is also a super cute and sexy farewell party. Every moment is caught in a moving and joyful atmosphere. The whole event is super exciting and super intentional.
Here I feel very full and simple touch, thank you for giving me a super commemorative T-Shirt in the end. I wo n’t wash it when I go back to Taiwan. I will use it to commemorate my life!
